The President had a meaningful discussion with EU Special Envoy for Myanmar, Igor Driesmans on 10 Jan 2025.

They discussed the successes and challenges of the Myanmar Spring Revolution. They also explored ways the EU and the international community can support Myanmar’s journey toward federal democracy. 

The EU Envoy wrote in his X social media after the meeting that the “ EU stands with the people of Myanmar, and their wish for federal democracy.”
