Acting President hold a discussion with EU Special Envoy

Acting President Duwa Lashi La of the National Unity Government (NUG) and European Union (EU) Special Envoy for Myanmar Ambassador Igor Driesmans discussed the current situations in Myanmar, as well as issues related to building a federal democratic state, and the EU's supports during an online meeting on November 27, 2023.

Following the online meeting, Ambassador Igor Driesmans posted on his X social network saying that "EU continues to stand unequivocally with the people of Myanmar and their wish to return to democracy and rule of law."

Acting President Duwa Lashi La also thanked the EU and Ambassador Igor Driesmans on his X social network for the EU's staunch support "for the people of Myanmar and the Spring Revolution." The Acting President also stated, "With our ethnic partners, we are ready to deliver an inclusive federal democracy, stability, justice, and durable peace."
